SMSCE celebrates Annual Day

Jammu, May 15: Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana Jammu celebrated its Annual Day function today. His Holiness, Mahant Manjit Singh Ji, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest followed by Sarswati Vandana. Principal of the College, Dr. Kiran Luthra presented the Annual Report highlighting various curricular & co-curricular activities of the college conducted during the Session. A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students, comprising Gidda, Dogri dance, Kashmiri dance, Rajasthani folk dance, Bangra & Solo Songs which were applauded by the audience.
Prize distribution was also held on the occasion wherein prizes and mementoes were given away to the winners of different activities conducted during the session by the Chief Guest. Mahant Manjit Singh Ji, in his address appreciated the efforts made by the students in performing different activities of the day & stressed upon the pupil teachers to work hard & to prepare themselves to take up teaching assignment quite effectively in future. He also stressed upon the pupil teachers to acquire skills along with theoretical knowledge and uphold the moral values in social life.
