| Solution of Kashmir problem possible through tripartite talks: Yaseen | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | May 11 Reiterating that the lasting solution to the Kashmir issue could be found only through tripartite talks, the Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has said that this is the right time for dialogue process to strengthen peace in the state as well as sub-continent. Addressing a well attended public meeting on Sunday at Rainawari Srinagar, Hakeem Yaseen urged for continuation of dialogue process and stressed for involvement of political leaders of all shades and thoughts to resolve the issue amicably. He called for coordinated efforts to make Jammu and Kashmir State prosperous The Minister said that speedy and equitable development of the state is the top agenda of the government adding that a massive development programme has been launched in the state where-under priority has been accorded for the development of neglected and downtrodden areas. He said government is aware of the problems confronting the people adding that steps are already underway to provide basic amenities to the people. He called upon the youth to come forward in a big way and get associated with political and development process to make the state prosperous. He said the youth can contribute towards political and economic development of the state in the emerging scenario and said youth must participate in the state's democratic process. Referring to various problems confronting people, Yaseen said that government was keen to address the unemployment problem and steps are afoot to tackle it properly. The Minister said that during coalition rule massive development programme has been initiated in the state under which road connectivity, drinking water facilities and medicare has been accorded priority. Expressing concern over neglect of urban areas including down town, Yaseen said that previous government's had forgotten the civil lines above all Srinagar city but the present coalition government has formulated massive plans for the development of the Srinagar city. He said the rehabilitation problem of the people affected by the Dal Development Programme would be taken up with the Chief Minister on priority. |
