| Bovine smuggling bids foiled, animals rescued, accused arrested | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, May 18: In continuation of drive against social evils ie Bovine smuggling, Police Poonch in two separate instance,foiled two bovine smuggling bids,one in Surankote and other in Mendhar and rescued the animals and arrested the accused persons.
A police party from PS Surankote led by SHO surankote laid nakas at various places on Mughal Road and rescued in total, 20 animals which were being illegally taken to valley and seized 03 vehicles and arrested the persons commiting the offence.In this connection case FIR no 91/2019,92/2019 and 94/2019 U/S 188RPC 3PCA Act were registered repectively and investigation was taken up.
In another instance in the jd of PS Gursai,team led by I/C PP kallar was conducting traffic checking.During traffic checking,one Mohd Imran son of Wali Mohd r/o Narol tehsil Mendhar was driving one Tata mobile bearing registeration no. JK12A-6198 from mendhar towards surankote and had loaded 05 buffaloes without any legal permission. Consequently, person was arrested and vehicle was seized.In this regard,case FIR no 32/19 under section 188RPC 3PCA Act registered and investigation was taken up. |
