JAMMU, May 18: PHDCCI, Jammu Regional Chapter held a meeting today under the Chairmanship of Vikrant Kuthiala. Amongst other issues discussed, the Chamber welcomed the appointment of Lokesh Jha as the Chairman J&K State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JKSERC). PHD Chamber of Commerce further stated that the activities of JKSERC would go a long way in redressal of Consumer grievances and the effective monitoring of Power Development Department.
PHDCCI hopes that the commission would also start discharging its duties of providing the necessary inputs to the Government about the energy sector, its planning and also harnessing the other non-conventional resources for power generation. Khuthiala also mentioned that PHDCCI and JKSERCE would work together and shall come up with the options of providing of dealing with new energy sources and also suggest on other electricity and energy related issues. PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been serving the Nation for the last 110 years, as a proactive and dynamic multi-state apex organization working at the grass-root level, with strong national and international linkages.
PHD Chamber serves 12 Northern, central and Eastern Indian States along with Union Territory of Chandigarh. Kuldeep Gupta & Rakesh Wazir, Co Chairs were among the present in the meeting.
