Stalker abducts CUJ's student, beats her mercilessly

JAMMU, May 18: A student of Central University of Jammu was allegedly abducted from outside the University campus and assaulted by a stalker. The girl was admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu with cuts on her arms and other parts of the body after referring from District Hospital Kathua for further specialized treatment.
As per police sources, a university student was allegedly abducted and injured by a youth who was stalking her in way of University. In her statement, the girl said she was abducted by the youth when she was heading to the residence from Central University Vijaypur.
"He slapped me several times before pushing me into his vehicle and also locked vehicle inside and continuously beating me. He also molested me and also used a blade to inscribe his name on my arms and other parts of the body before setting me free in Samba," the girl said adding he also tried to take her to a medical shop but the paramedic refused to treat her saying it is a police case.
Later, he left me in Samba district in a pool of blood, where he managed to reach her relatives' house and took her to hospital for treatment. She claimed that the accused took away her SIM cards as well.
Police sources added that the girl, who is basically hailing from Kathua, was putting up with her relatives in Samba as she was perusing studies in the Central University. Her uncle took her home after the incident and accordingly she was admitted in the Kathua hospital.
They said police has taken cognizance of the case and started investigations. He said a police team from Vijaypur police station recorded her statement in Kathua hospital and further action is in progress.
Acting on the girl statement, SHO Vijaypur Inspector Rakesh Bamba said that the accused is Army personnel who are posted in Allahabad and sped away. He said a case FIR no 77/19 under section 323, 341, 366, 376/511 427 RPC has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation is on.
