JMC organizes awareness camp on SWM

Jammu, May 18: Jammu Municipal Corporation organized awareness camp in connection with Solid Waste Management in coordination with the Councillor Yash Pal Sharma and residents of Ward No. 35.
The chief guest of the programme was Mayor, JMC and presided by Badev Singh Baloria, Chairman Health and Sanitation Committee as well as Suraj Prakash Padha, Chairman Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Committee, JMC. The prominent members present in the programme are B.M Kohli, Thoru Ram, Udey Chand, Yash pal Gupta, Sudesh Dogra and others. Speaking on the occasion local prominent member Sudesh Dogra express the problems of the ward and demanded tempo to take garbage daily from their home. Another senior personality Udey Chand stressed to change our existing habit & disposing garbage which is very painful and creates trouble. Boquee were presented to Mayor, JMC Chander Mohan Gupta and both the Chairman of the Committees and CouncillorWard no. 35, Yash Pal Sharma. Master Jorawar Singh spoke on the occasion and told various solution of organic /inorganic material. People were inspired to prepare home compositing. Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, Nodal Officer, SWM narrated the whole programme of the JMC to dispose off Solid Waste. He described various programmes to prepare cloth bags and Agarbati in collaboration with Shrine Board Trust of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji, Katra.
