5/18/2019 11:29:03 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, May 19: All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) today staged a protest demonstration against the apathy of Central and State governments towards PM package employees in Particular and Pandits in general.
Scores of PM package employees working across valley lead by APMCC chairman Vinod Pandit today staged a massive Protest at Pratap Park, Srinagar.
The employees were demanding only basic necessities of life like Independent Concrete accommodation for all 6000 PM package employees in stipulated time frame.
Already nine years have passed and Govt has failed miserably in accommodating the employees.
The delaying of construction of Quarters at Vessu Camp by JKPCC is an classic example and needs thorough probe.
It is also pertinent mention that land for Hawl Pulwama, Mattan Anantnag and Distt Srinagar has not been identified so far for last nine years of this so called rehabilitation . He further added, where land has been finalized are not yet being taken up for construction, even tenders have not been invited by concerned agencies . The employees putting up in rented accommodation are worst sufferers of this package as they have been paying huge rent and Breaks the backbone of their family expenses.
APMCC chief Vinod Pandit demanded that construction of Quarters to be done on fast track basis preferably in double shifts.
He also lamented that Concerned Advisor of Relief and Rehabilitation hasn't even visited the Transit accommodations in valley once.
He further blamed some officials for misguiding Honble Governor about accommodation issue. Some elements in state administration are hell bent to derail the Return and Rehabilitation process of Migrant Pandits to valley again adding Hamain yaha laya gaya, La kar hamain Phasaya gaya.
The participants from different camps of Kashmir valley like Mattan, Natnussa Kupwara, Hawal Pulwama, Veerwan Baramulla, Vessu Kulgam, Ganderbal, Sheikhpura, Srinagar and all others joined the Protest Demonstration.
