Akhnoor, May 19: The BJP leaders from Akhnoor failed miserably to represent the people of akhnoor stated Former Member of Parliament Madan Lal Sharma during a public meeting of Block Congress workers at Maira Mandrian, Akhnoor
He further added that BJP government in J&K had derailed the growth & development started by the Congress government in all the three region of the state.
Sharma said that only Congress Government can bring back development and peace in the state and the people of J&K have understood this. and all the development works started by the Congress government in Akhnoor were stopped by the BJP Government. He said that soon Congress will form the Government in state and all the stopped works of development will be restarted in Akhnoor. He said that congress government will ensure special recruitment drives in Akhnoor and projects of Industry, tourism and other development works will be initiated soon after the government formation.
The meeting was attended by hundreds of congress workers of the block. While speaking in the meeting Madan Lal Sharma said that today the last phase of polling of loksabha elections is over so now the election commission should soon announce the dates for the state assembly elections so that a democratically elected government by the people takes charge at the earliest. The problems of the people of Akhnoor are not being addressed properly by the administration. He also lambasted the Governor of J&K and said that the Governor is acting like a dummy of BJP and the prestigious post of Governor has been compromised.
Many Sarpanchs, panchs & senior people of the area were present on the occasion.
