DIG Jammu review crime meeting of Jmu- Samba, Kathua Range

JAMMU: Dy .Inspector General of Police JSK Range, Jammu Sujit Kumar–IPS reviewed the crime meeting of Jammu-Samba & Kathua district with concerned District SSPs in his office chamber this evening.

A thread bare discussion was held regarding disposal of pending crime cases especially cases of heinous crime. The other law and order related arrangements were also discussed.

DIG JSK Range, Jammu welcomed all the officers with the note that the basic concept behind conducting the meeting is to see and discuss as to where the fault lies and how to improve the quality of investigation. The crime data of District Jammu, Samba and Kathua was reviewed and necessary guidelines were issued to the District SSPs for prompt disposal. The main focus was laid on NDPS cases, Crime Against Property and Crime Against Person, and Inquest Proceedings.

All SSPs were briefed to concentrate on NDPS cases with special reference to find out, source, carrier and destination. No accused should get the bail in NDPS cases. With regard to the theft cases, a strategy needs to be framed, night patrolling be enhanced, Beat System be also improved. As regard, crime against person especially Crime against Women be dealt on priority with utmost sensitivity. Stress was also laid on disposal of Inquest Proceedings especially the old pending Inquests.



The meeting was convened on good note with the advice to make sincere efforts to improve the quality of investigation and prevention and deduction of crime.

The meeting was attend which included Tejinder Singh-IPS SSP Jammu, Shridhar Patil-IPS SSP Kathua, Dr. Koushal Kumar-JKPS SSP Samba, Pawan Parihar-JKPS Staff Officer to DIG JSK Range and Smt. Sunita Kargotra-JKPS, CPO RPHQ Jammu.
