Jammu | May 12
Terming both the Central and the State Governments as militant- friendly, the State Unit of BJP has stressed the need of exposing the Congress led governments. Holding both these governments responsible for the gruesome killing of not only IDP leader Hoshiyar Singh and his wife and senior photo journalist Ashok Sodhi, the party in a statement has held these responsible for killings of thousands of civilians, army and para-military force personnel in Jammu and Kashmir.
The statement further said ‘the ongoing death and destruction in Jammu and Kashmir is the immediate fallout of the weak-kneed policies of the Congress’ which has not only displayed its over-friendly attitude towards those who are attacking the Indian state and killing civilians and jawans, but also revoked anti-terror laws, including POTA. It is also the fallout of over-friendly gestures towards the terrorist Pakistan which has only served to embolden terrorists and separatists to roam about freely carrying sophisticated weaponry and committing anti-state acts with utmost ease, the statement added.
It further said that the BJP would like to appeal the people to strengthen the hands of the party so that it is able to defeat the nefarious designs of the Congress. On its part, the BJP holds out a categorical commitment that it would carry on its relentless campaign against those committing anti-state crimes, murdering innocent civilians and journalists and jeopardizing the legitimate political and economic interests of the people of Jammu and Ladakh, displaced Kashmiri Hindus, refugees from West Pakistan, PoK, 1965 and 1971 and other neglected communities, the statement said. The BJP also takes this opportunity to express its solidarity with all the victims of militancy, the statement added.
