| Gupta lodges strong complaint about chocking of nallahs | | Mahey issues on the spot orders for cleaning Nallahs in Gandhinagar area | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 12 Following a strong complaint lodged by Bansi Lal Gupta, Corporator GMC of Ward-20 that nallahs located at Green Belt Park, Police Lines and Balmik colony were totally chocked, Sanjay Mahey, Chairman Public Health and Sanitation Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation has directed the concerned officers to get these nallahs cleaned immediately. The complaint was lodged by the Corporator when Mahey was on an inspection of sanitation drive launched in ward No 20,21 and 22 of posh Gandhi Nagar and Shastri Nagar colonies here today. Corporator Ward 20 drew the attention of the visiting Chairman towards these chocking nallahs and alleged that despite repeated complaints no attention was paid to clean these nallahs as a result of which the people were put to numerous problems. Acting swiftly, the Chairman Sanitation Committee issued on the spot orders for immediate cleaning of these nallahs. The Chairman, among others, was accompanied by J S Tandon, Joint Commissioner, Bansi Lal Gupta, Tilak Raj and Suresh Jamwal, Corporators of the area, besides, Jaswant Singh Soodan, Member Public Health Sanitation Committee. |
