| Information Deptt condoles demise of Sodhi | | | Early Times Reporter

The officers and officials of Information Department has condoled the sad demise of senior Cameraman of Daily Excelsior, Mr. Ashok Sodhi in a separate condolence meetings held at Jammu and Srinagar.
The slained Cameraman was shot dead during an encounter between militants and security forces at Samba while performing his professional duty.
In a condolence meeting convened in his office chamber at Srinagar Director Information Mr. Zaffar Ahmad lauded the journalism of courage displayed by Mr. Ashok Sodhi who in his death have set an example of ‘duty unto death’. He called upon fellow journalists to take inspiration from his impeccable courage to capture and bring the truth to the people of the state.
In another condolence meeting held at Jammu, Joint Director Information Jammu Mr. S. K Sharma, Deputy Director Information (HQ) Jammu Mr. Dara Singh Kotwal, Cultural Officer, Editor Yojana and other staff members paid rich tributes to Mr. Sodhi and expressed sympathy with bereaved family and prayed almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
A two minutes silence was also observed on the occasion. |
