Jammu, May 22: A Mahan Gurumat Samagam is being organized by Guru Nanak Sewa Charitable Trust and Guru Nanak International Kirtan Council on 25th of May at Chand Nagar gurudwara.
According to press release, the Samagam will be organized under the patronage of Mahant Manjit Singh of Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch and with the support of District Gurudwara Prabandak Committee (DGPC) Jammu to commemorate 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
During this day long Samagam at Gurudwara in Chand Nagar various prominent and intellectual sikh personalities including "pracharaks" and "Kirtan jathas" will take part in the Samagam and "Shabad Kirtan" will be recited highlighting the teachings and principles of the Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The "Samagam" will start at 9 am in the morning on 25th May and will end at 1 am in the midnight on 26th May .The final results of "Kaun Banega Gurusikh Pyara Contest" will also be announced. The Sikh Sangat of Jammu and Kashmir is appealed to participate in a big way in the celebrations to be held. 53 toppers among 70000 participants, across the country will be the special attraction in the Samagam.
