16000 vacancies and more to come by May 15

The government today declared that 16000 vacancies of the government jobs at different levels have referred to the Subordinate Services Recruitment Board and selections are being made in a fast track mode.
Chief Secretary BR Kundal today chaired a meeting of the administrative secretaries of all departments and issue of recruitments was discussed. The Chief Secretary told the administrative secretaries to refer all pending vacancies before May 15 so that recruitment process could be hastened.
Saying that speedy disposal of files was the obligation of government functionaries, Chief Secretary Mr. B. R. Kundal exhorted the Administrative Secretaries to sensitize the officials down below making it more efficient and responsive to public needs.
It was given out in the meeting that so far 16,000 vacancies have been referred to the Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) for recruitment on fast track basis.
Chief Secretary directed all Administrative departments to refer all vacancies to SSRB by 15th of this month of instant.
He directed Secretary PDD to take necessary steps for procurement of electronic meters and their installation without any delay.
Secretary Finance was directed to draft financial memorandum for 13th Finance Commission by the end of this month.
While reviewing release of funds to the District Development Commissioners, Mr. Kundal directed the Planning department for early release of plan revenue funds to the newly created districts.
Secretary Cooperative Department was directed to make arrangements for making adequate provision of fertilizer to the farmers for the ensuing kharief season.
Appreciating the Estates Department for making satisfactory arrangements for Darbar Move offices and private accommodation of employees, Mr. Kundal hoped that the employees would make their best contribution in the healthy environment provided to them.
