| Farooq visits Sodhi's residence, offer condolences | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 13 Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Patron J&K National Conference visited Ashok Sodhi's residence at Rehari here today to pay tributes to the departed soul and condole his death. Farooq shared the grief of the family of the deceased and expressed shock and anguish at his demise. National Conference Patron said Ashok Sodhi was a photo-journalist of highest caliber who had remarkable professional ethics. He said the martyrdom of Ashok Sodhi will always be remembered and his presence will be missed by all. He also conveyed his condolences to SD Rohmetra editor Daily Excelsior and other staff members in this hour of their grief. Farooq directed the National Conference Provincial President Ajay Sadhotra and MLC Devender Singh Rana who accompanied him, to work out a mechanism for the family of the deceased so that the National Conference in its own humble way could provide some support to the family of the deceased. He also appealed to the journalist fraternity and J&K state government to help the dependents of Ashok Sodhi. Farooq who was on his way to Rajouri for a four day tour of Rajouri District was among others accompanied by Harbans Singh, Sr. Vice President, Mian Altaf Ahmed, MLA, Rachpal Singh, MLA and Rattan Lal Gupta, Sr. Vice President. |
