| Rehman seeks fresh elections under central rule | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 13 State President of the Samajwadi Party Shiekh Abdul Rehman on Tuesday said that for free and fair elections in the state governor's rule should be imposed. He also rebuked Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and PDP patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed for not sharing the grief of the families who lost their kin in the militant strike in Samba. Addressing a press conference here today the Samajwadi party leader said that it was very unfortunate that state chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad was issuing statement of starting cross LoC trade just when militants were engaging security forces and several innocent people and security men lost their lives. He said evev PDP patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed was misleading people by issuing statements of promoting dual currency and joint management across the line of control. Rehman said the existing coalition government should be regarded as looters of public money.Almost all the ministers in the council of ministers are looting money wit open hands. He named several senior congress ministers and alleged that they are neck deep in corruption yet occupying occupying offices of oath. Starting from minister to even junior ranks every one is amassing wealth by other means and growing wealthy yet the state government was not doing anything to check this growing mencae. Rehman told media men that the coalition government has adopted go slow policy towards those named in the srinagar sex scandal, the corruption is rampant in all the places yet no action has been taken against any one barring announcement of token punishments for small fries.He said Samjawadi party in the state is emerging as a potent force and appealed to the masses not to be swayed by the propaganda by other political parties. He appealed massed to support his party during the 2008 Assembly polls. He also demanded imposition of governor’ rule in the state before Assembly polls. To ensure that the election process was completed in free and fair manner governors rule should be imposed in the state, he demanded. |
