| 17 bovines rescued | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, May 24: Police foiled a bovine smuggling bid at Thanamandi and rescued 17 bovines from the possession of smugglers who were smuggling these animals in a truck. A team of police from Thanamandi headed by SHO Javed Malik was on routine naka checking during the night hours when a truck JK02AP 6729 was intercepted near Thanamandi town. During checking, seventeen animals were found loaded in the truck and were rescued. The driver of truck Zaffar Iqbal son of Mohammad Shafi resident of Kewal Budhal and Mohammad Shafi son of Kanga resident of Kotranka have been arrested while a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Thanamandi police station. |
