| JMC starts up-gradation work of cremation ground | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 24: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta today conducted an extensive tour of Shastri Nagar and started up-gradation work of cremation ground. Kavinder Gupta, Vikram Randhawa MLC, Jaideep Sharma, Councilor of ward no. 22 Shastri Nagar area, Vinay Gupta, General Secretary BJP, members of Shamshan Ghat Shastri Nagar development committee including Sardar Balvinder Singh, Chairman, Lal man Khajuria , President resident welfare society Gandhi Nagar, Chander Udey Sharma General secretary, BR Gupta Chairman Development and management committee and other prominent citizens of the area were also present during the tour. Mayor started upgradation of shamshan ghat, which included construction of modernized shed for standing of persons visiting at cremation ground shatsri nagar so that people may get relief from summer& rainy season. He also directed the engineering wing of JMC to properly maintain the entrance of parking just opp. Cremation ground so that no private & heavy vehicle can pass through this particular parking which is only meant for persons visiting cremation ground. |
