| PNB opens 26th ATM in state | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 13 Punjab National Bank opened 26th ATM in the state today at Trikuta Shopping Complex, BC Road here. Mangat Ram Sharma, Minister for Health and medical education inaugurated the ATM in a brief but well attended function in which local traders, bus operators, taxi operators, hoteliers and employees of Medical College participated. Speaking at a function Vivek Arya, Zonal Manager PNB, informed the gathering that the ATM is meant to provide hassle free 24X7 day payments to tourists visiting Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, students and staff of adjoining schools, traders and shopkeepers of the area, employees of government institutions located around as well as to public in general. He informed that very shortly bank shall introduce a Biometric ATM for the rural and illiterate population of the state through the financial inclusion package. Mangat Ram Sharma appreciated the proactive role of the bank in the economic development of the state. He thanked the bank management for opening the ATM at a place where all sections of the society can conveniently make use of its services. President Traders Association Trikuta Complex also spoke and thanked the bank management. Others who spoke and attended the function included Dr B M Padha, R K Raina, R K Gupta and A K Mota. |
