BJP Minority Morcha holds Police-Public meet

JAMMU, May 27: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Minority Morcha today convened a Police public meet at Digiana, Jammu.
The meeting was chaired by S.P. South Jammu, S.D.P.O. Jammu and S.H.O's of the concern Policed Stations and from the Civil Society side the prominent who shared the chairs was Advocate S. Amrik Singh Incharge J&K BJP Minority Morcha and S. Paramjeet Singh Ex- Corporator, also the Prabhari of the BJP Minority Morcha. The public raised the burning issues of their respective areas and also feel serious concern over the Drug Addictions in the society which have taken the previous lives of many youths. The speakers urge to the Police authorities to control over the Drug smuggling across the Pak Border and that of our neighbor states like Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The 2nd issue was the escalation of the Land Mafia around the Jammu city who have created havoc in the civil society by virtue of encroachment of the state and Evacuee land and even some registered land which is owned by the poor and weaker sections are being forcibly uprooted by the Criminal/ Gundda hired by the land grabbers even the women are not spared by these elements. The security issue to the women was also raised with some instances also quoted. The night patrolling demand was also put forth by the inhabitants' of the area before the Police Authorities. After listening the issues the SP South Jammu and other police authorities gave assurance to the public for the better redressal of their grievances and also assured that strict action would be taken agaisnt the criminal and drug mafias. They also have taken assurance from the police to corporate the concerned local police in nabbing the criminal elements and give their identification to the Police so that, their identifications would be kept secret. The prominent who spoken and participated were Jagdish Chander (Ex-Principal) Sham Choudhary, S. Avtar Singh Ex-President, Dr. Baldev Singh , Ashok Sharma, S. Kuljeet Singh Secretary Gurdawara Digiana Camp and S. Paramjeete Singh Ex-Corporater, Pammi Bawa and S. Charanjeet Singh Ex- Director Citizen Cooperative Bank and the Stage was managed by the Advocates Amrik Singh (I/C J&K BJP Minority Morcha].
