| Bitta seeks anti terrorist military court, CBI probe in Samba incident | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 14 President of the All India Anti Terrorist Front Maninder Jeet Singh Bitta on Wednesday demanded setting up of anti terrorist military court to fight all forms of terrorism which is spreading its tentacles all across the country. Addressing a media conference at Jammu Press club Bitta also demanded CBI probe in to the incident of alleged infiltration bid by Pakistani militants followed by encounter in Samba and serial blasts in Jaipur on Tuesday evening. Squarely blaming politicians of all hues for the rise in militancy Bitta said that the increasing incidents of terrorist activities across India necessitates setting up of anti terrorist militaty court to award punishment to perpetrators of militant violence. He said it is a shame for all of us that in India we do not have stringent laws to deal with terrorists effectively. He urged the state and centre government to join hands to fight their menace and launch a hot chase to weed out terrorist organisations. Bitta said politicians in India have spoiled the system and are all equally abusing the system by arm twisting rules and regulations to save their skins. He said once military court will be constituted the scope of safe passage to militants would be limited. On the occasion he gave an assurance that he would personally take up the issue of compensation to phota journalist Ashok Sodhi who died in action during Samba encounter. I would personnaly request petroleum minister and also urge Chief Minister of the state to push case of Ashok Sodhi for allotment of Petrol pump or gas agency. He said the plight of victims families of Attack on Indian parliament is an eyeopener. "We donot want to show any disrespect to the families of martyrs,he announced. He proposed that soon he would contact Press club of India to organize a function and award Ashok Sodhi as brave son of the soil. |
