An ‘Environment Awareness Week’ was celebrated by Army School, Dhar Road.
A plethora of activities were put forward by the students during morning assemblies. ‘Homage to The Earth’ in the form of declamation, innovative skits, quiz, and recitation of self composed poems and on post creative writing competition were held.
Campaigns advocating use of paper and cloth bags and a rally to reach out and interact with civil society in the near by village Ramnagar was conducted to instill awareness about personal hygiene and clean surrounding, amongst the uneducated masses. The student rally discouraged use of polythene bags and resensetised the neighbourhood towards environment duties. Colourful posters and collages alongwith their themes were exhibited on the display boards pointing out glaring disasters, melting of glaciers and global warming. The children are being educated to understand that life has to be changed for progressive enlightenment.
