| BJYM protests seeking POTA | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 15 Bhartia Janta Yuva Morcha activists on Thursday held protest demonstration and later torched the effigy of union government to press their demand of reinstating POTA for rooting out terrorism. The Protestants were shouting anti government slogans for the recent spurt in militancy activities in various parts of the country. Addressing the Protestants BJYM State General Secretary Sanjay Baru said that it is shocking that even after the loss of more than hundred innocent people, congress government rejected the demand of BJP to reinstate POTA. Coming down heavily on Congress, he said that it was shocking that the recent militancy incidents have not stirred the government and have continued its efforts in the peace process. He said that the non-seriousness attitude of the UPA government toward the infiltration and to check militancy would harm the nation and national security. He asked the Congress-led UPA to formulate a clear-cut policy to deal the militancy so that the people across the country feel secure. He also demanded CBI inquiry against security officials involved in the infiltration of terrorists from Pakistan at Samba and asked government to send such elements behind the bars. |
