| PDP-N convenes executive meet | | Elects Bijral as state president | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 15 Peoples Democratic Party (Nationalist) convened its annual executive meeting today ahead of election year to take stock of political scenario in the state. The meeting was convened by Gurdeep Singh Bijral and was attended by all executive members. As per a press release, the executive body unanimously felt that the party can play a very important and vital role in the wake of ensuing assembly elections in the state. The members felt that the party must stand to its nationalist character and commitment and its cadre must take on itself in educating the masses about the false propaganda spread by certain parties and individuals for the sake of grabbing the power at the cost of wakening the country by raising false and deceitful boggy of withdrawal of armed forces, self rule and circulation of Pakistan currency in the state. Executive body mutually and unanimously decided to appoint Gurdeep Singh Bijral as party president who in turn appointed Ranbir Singh Manga as Sr. vice president, Vikram Sabharwal secretary general, Ved Gandotra state secretary, Mohi-u-ddin-Giri district president Doda and Kishtwar, Sunita Sharma president mahila wing and Kamlesh Nanda district president (mahila wing) Jammu, the release added. |
