| DLF protests discrimination against Jammu | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 15 Dogra Liberation Front (DLF) workers led by its chief Rampaul Sharma held a massive protest rally in front of divisional commissioner’s office here today. Addressing the protestors, Pinka Bandral said that central Govt is paying little attention towards Jammu people but on the other hand has granted a package of Rs 16000 cr for rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants. He said even the UP Chairperson Sonia Gandhi visits only migrant camps while bothers little about Jammu people. He said recently about 200 Kashmiri youths were given admission in Med Course in Jammu University. He further said every attention is being paid towards Kashmiri people and no attention is being paid towards Jammu youth, who are sitting idle and no jobs are provided to them. Sharma further said about 95 per cent Kashmiri people are employed and the number of people with jobs in Jammu region is very less. On the occasion a memorandum was handed over to Divisional Commissioner with the request that same be forwarded to Prime Minister of India. Among others who took part in the protest rally were Kapil Dev, Satpaul Sharma, Kuldeep Raj Deep, Ratan Lal and B. Rajinder Gupta. |
