| DM restricts movement of heavy load carriers on Bhagthali – Jarai road | | |
KATHUA, AUGUST 30: District Magistrate, Kathua Ms Sarita Chauhan under section 144 of Cr. PC has prohibited interstate to and fro movement of heavy goods carrier on the Kathua- Bhagthali and Kathua-Jarai roads from toll post Mandi- Mandkrian to Kerrian Gandial via river Ravi for a period of two months.
The restrictions has been necessitated due to the reason that residents of Bhagthali/ Jarai area of Tehsil Kathua were complaining against plying of interstate vehicular goods traffic on Kathua- Bhagthali and Kathua-Jarai roads to and fro the state of Punjab via River Ravi causing nuisance and hindering free public movement.
However this restriction shall not apply to the movement of vehicles on Kathua-Bhagthali and Kathua- Jarai roads carrying goods for use by the residents of the area. |
