| Boys shine in Commerce, Science; Girls in arts | | Higher secondary part-II exams | | Munish Gupta Jammu | May 15 For a change, it was a turn of the boys to dominate the merit list of Science and Commerce faculties while the girls maintained supremacy in Arts stream in the higher secondary part-II examinations, the results of which were declared tonight by the State Board of School Education. The government run educational institutions dominated top slots in Arts and Science faculties. Of 13 positions in Arts, the Government schools bagged 10 while out of 10 positions in Science, they clinched four positions. Ankit Sambyal topped in Science faculty taking 701 marks (93.40 per cent). He was followed by Mahima Sharma of RS Jagriti Niketan School Kathua. Atul Vij from Model Academy HSS got third position securing 692 marks (92.20 per cent). Fourth positions in Science went to Puneet Gupta and Sumeet Heera both of Happy Model Higher Secondary School udhampur, who took 684, marks respectively. Fifth position was bagged by Harshindu by securing 683 marks (91%). While 6th and 7th position was bagged by Neel Fotedar and Abhinav Gandotra both of SRML HSS Parade Ground securing 682 and 681 marks respectively. Eight and Ninth positions went to Neha Majotra of St Peters HSS Karan Bagh and Nancy Bharti of Shiksha Niketan Jeevan Nagar who took 679and 676 marks Taking 675 marks, Nitish Sharma from RS Jagriti Niketan romped home with 10th position in Science. Commerce faculty was topped by Vinay Gupta of Shiksha Niketan who took 670 marks (89.3 per cent). Second positions in Commerce was bagged by Sushant Gupta and Diksha Kashyap of Little Flower HSS and New Modern HSS who took 652 marks respectively. Mayuri Aggarwal from Monti Nargis Dutt Public School bagged third position securing 651 marks. Akash Mahajan ( Shiksha Niketan HSS) ,Pawan Anand (SM Jain HSS), Navleen Kour (Shiksha Niketan HSS) and Paranav Jain (Little Flower HSS), bagged 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th position securing 643,641,639,636 marks respectively. Suksham Nanda (Kotwal National Institute of Teachi) and Krisham Arora (Tawish Scholars P School) shared eighth position securing 635 marks each. The ninth position was also shared by Ravi Jain (SM Jain HSS) and Kanak Ved( Vidya Peeth Public School securing 632 marks respectively. While the tenth rank was bagged by Saguna Gupta of Shiksha Niketan HSS securing 625 marks. Sarika Sudan clinched first position in Arts faculty for RS Pura GHSS taking 675 marks (90.0 per cent). Reetika Dhawan (Sri Guru Gobind Singh Pub HSS) and Pallavi Verma of Mubarak Mandi HSS took second and third position with 653and 640 marks respectively. Anjil Singh ( Doada HSS) , Deavahuti ( SPHSS Exchange Road ) , Mohd. Asif secured fourth, fifth and , sixth positions taking 639,638 and 622 marks respectively. Seventh position in Arts was shared Arooj Raja Chib and Akriti Rajput both students of of GHSS Mubarak Mandi, who had 448 marks each. Aishwarya Jain students of Mubarak Mandi GHSS bagged 8th position securing 614 marks. While ninth position was shared Priya Sharma and Manju Choudhary both of RS Pura GHSS shared 9th position securing 612 marks each. 10th position was also shared by Imran Ahmad and Pooja Pandit (Udhampur HSS) securing 606 marks respectively. Ruchi Mahajan (GHSS Mubarak Mandi) and Anubhav Dutt (Dogra HSS) bagged ninth and 10th positions taking 444 and 441 marks respectively. |
