| Josh expresses dismay over alarming situation of farmers | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 17 Founder of Himalayan Environment Studies and Conservational Organization and Chief organizer of Kissan Kissani Movement 2008, Dr Anil P Josh has stressed upon the farmers of the state for generating a platform to promote their cause, rights to their resources, knowledge, technology choices and production systems as internationally inalienable rights. Speaking at a convention, Dr Anil P Joshi has expressed dismay over the alarming situation of the farmers in the country. He said that the grave situation of farmers doesn’t leave them alone for suffering but to every common person ultimately becoming victims. “In spite of the fact that there have been many avenues created for helping farmers of the country, could not yet gain desirable results”, he said. Joshi added that dissatisfaction, resentment and disappointment mount farmers which lead to various expressions in the form of suicidal cases and others. ‘For the betterment of Indian’s farmers, as India is recognized in world due to its Agriculture production, Joshi demanded farmer bank (Kissan Bank), agriculture education, special economic zone, water resources, tractor loan and easiness in loan system.. On this occasion, State level Kissan Kissani Parishad was floated with Khajur Singh nominated its president and R K Khajuria, convener. Among others who spoke on farmers rights were J R Ramol, national convener of Kissan Kissani Movement -2008, Tula Ram Bhardwaj and president of Himachal Kissan Kissani Parishad .
