Hakeem for intensified Indo-Pak peace talks

Saying that coalition government is determined to work for lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir, President PDF and Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has urged the leaders of India and Pakistan for taking forward the dialogue process settling all issues including those related to Kashmir.
Addressing a well-attended public meeting on Saturday at Pulwama, Hakeem Yaseen said that measures taken for restoration of peace in the state would continue till the goal of permanent tranquility was achieved.
Referring to the political situation, Hakeem Yaseen asserted that by raising emotional slogans, the people of the state were exploited by various groups whose only aim was to work for their narrow interests. “Time has now changed and the people judge the leaders by deeds and not words. He said and added that development taking place during recent years in social and economical sectors in the state indicated the keen interest of government in the development and prosperity of the state. He said completion of development projects, implementation of welfare schemes, setting up of new administrative units, universities, colleges and introducing of Roshni Act were the major achievements of the coalition government.
Hakeem Yaseen assured that government was aware of the problems being faced by people and said steps were underway to provide basic facilities to the people. He said safety of people, restoration of peace, tackling un-employment problem were the priorities of the government. He cautioned against the vested interests who were creating hurdles in peace and development process.
Yaseen asserted that the people of the state had made a lot of sacrifices and suffered heavily during past two decades adding that a new chapter for socio-economic development and political stability had been opened.
He reiterated that “his party stands for equitable and sustainable development of all the three regions, communities. PDF has emerged a strong political party and hoped that people will extend their full cooperation to this party to carry forward the agenda of peace and development”, Hakeem maintained.
Mr. Ishtiyaq Qadri, Mr. Abdul Qayoom and Mohammad Hussain also spoke on the occasion.
