Civil defence camp held

Keeping in view the recent tragic incident at Samba and ensuing Shri Amar Nath Yatra, Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar with the participation of Civil Defence organized an awareness camp in the school premises here today. The awareness camp gained more attention and importance in view of the fact that the school is situated on the National Highway. All the aspects of civil defence which is real sense of word means self defence were given a practical shape. The programme was conducted under the leadership of Madan Manjeet Kour (DSP) Deputy Controller Civil Defence and Shashi Kohil Dy. Divisional Warden Civil Defence Jammu. The other members of the team present on the occasion were Ram Chand, Balwant Singh, Rashpal Singh, Sudhershan Singh, Shubanji Bhat, Girdhari Lal, Prem Chand, Muneer Hussain and the principal of the school Rameshwar Mengi gave way the cheque of Rs. 200/- each to prize winners of 2007 of Civil Defence were Palak Bakshi, Nidhi Vaid, Sheetal Sharma, Deeksha Sharma, Sanjoli Kapoor, Anupam Raina and Deepika Bandral.
