| Mir accuses PDP of misleading people | | ‘Third Front would be a reality shortly’ | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 17 Chief of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Party, Ghulam Hassan Mir, has, once again, come out in the open by accusing PDP leadership of “misleading” people by floating hollow slogans. He said today people in the state had become wise enough and they would not be carried away by imaginary ideas dished out by the PDP leaders. He said such leaders had been encouraged in raising extraneous slogans and demands because the political system seemed to be meant for a few families. Right from the day he was expelled from the PDP, Mir had been berating the PDP and the National Conference for perpetuating what he termed as family rule. He said that there was no internal democracy in the PDP where the entire show was being run by the Muftis. Mir indicated that a large number of political stalwarts were joining the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Party. He said that as a result of the response from people to his rallies he had no doubt that the third front would become a reality shortly. He said he was in touch with sitting and former legislators and other prominent citizens and he was confident on the formation of an effective third front which could be genuinely called representative body of people of the state. In reply to a question he said he had started the process of setting the party bases in the Jammu region and once the third front was formed it will have its units in all the three regions.
