| Meeting reviews performance of banks | | |
POONCH, AUGUST 30 - Achievements and performance of banks and sponsoring agencies were reviewed at District level review cum coordinating committee meeting held here yesterday under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Poonch, Mr. Mohd Ramzan Thakur. The meeting discussed sector-wise and scheme-wise targets and achievements of various banks.
All the district level officers of different banks and government sponsoring agencies, representatives of RBI and NABARD participated in the meeting apprised about their performance and profit registered under annual action plan 2006-07 upto ending June 2006. The meeting was informed that the banks and sponsoring agencies have been able to achieve 13 per cent increase in the annual action plan for the financial year 2006-07.
During the meeting it was divulged that the total deposit of district as on ending June 2006 was Rs. 379.1 crore against Rs. 394.4 crore as on ending March 2006. The total advance of the district was Rs. 66.6 crore upto June against Rs. 65.3 crore till ending March 2006. The CD ratio has also increased from 16.5 per cent to 17.5 per cent.
Details revealed that Agriculture and allied banks registered 618 accounts with Rs. 70.8 lakh profit and trade and service opened 122 accounts and registered Rs. 192.3 lakh profit. The SSI sector achieved Rs. 73.7 lakh profit with 37 accounts.
