| Several KP migrants join NCP | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 18 A large number of migrant Kashmiri Pandits mostly belonging to Habba-Kadal area of Srinagar city joined Nationalist Congress party (NCP) here today. Welcoming them in the party fold state president of NCP, Randhir Singh said that party would get strengthened not only in the state but in Delhi also. He said KP community is most educated and have made a mark in all spheres. Expressing his concern he said community having glorious part making imparaletted contribution in the development of the country ad the state but are living a life of displaced persons is their own country and added that the successive Govts failed to mitigate their problems. Singh announced that Rajinder Kaul will the NCP candidate from Habba- Kadal constituency in the coming assembly election. He further said, party will filed one or two KP Youth from other constituencies in the valley being good base for NCP. Koul on the occasion said, that all political parties right from BJP to NC, PDP and Congress have exploited the Kashmiri migrants for petty political gains, but it is NCP under Sharad Pawar that has done a lot for KP Migrants youth as far as admission in professional colleges is concerned. Others who joined the NCP were Maharaj Krishan Thusoo from Kupwara, O N Haku, Pran Nath, Satish Bhan, Rajkumar Tickoo, Bharat Ji Dulhoo Thaku Shallo Ram, Rumal Singh, Yousuf, Rakesh Singh, Ashok Jain, Mohinder Singh Thakur, J A Khan, P D Shastri, Baldev Singh and Sham Gorkha. |
