| Batwal Welfare Association holds meeting | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 18 A joint meeting of the office bearers of Batwal Welfare Association, Budh Mandir Committee and its youth development committee was held at Budh Mandir Bishnah under the chairmanship of Romesh Mottan. In the meeting all tehsil heads were also present. As per a press release, Trilok Mottan, general secretary of J&K Batwal association threw light on the progress of the Batwal community. Trilok Mottan also informed all those present in the meeting about the celebaration of the Budh jayanti. He said that asa on today farmers and labor class of Batwal community is too busy to take care of the present crops in their fields and it shall be injustice to them if Budh jayanti is celebrated as a matter of routine. It was agreed upon by those present in the meeting that association should celebrate Budh Jayanti at Bishnah on June 8. The deputation was led by Sat Pal Lakhotra Ex-MLA, chairman, of the association. Those who accompanied the delegation include Capt. Bihari Lal, chairman, Budh Mandir committee Bishnah, Sr. vice president Anant Ram Kaith, Rashpal Bassa, President Budh Mandir committee, Retired Capt. Hari Chand, Ex- Sarpanch, Bishan Dass and Cashier Joginder Lakhotra, the release added. |
