| BCKMU deputation calls on Industries Minister | | |
SRINAGAR, AUGUST 30 – A deputation of Bhartiya Coal Khan Mazdoor Union led by its president Mr. Om Prakash called on the Minister for Industries and Commerce Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora here today.
Legislature Mr. M. Y. Tarigami was also present on the occasion.
The deputationist projected their demands for early consideration. These include COLA, enhancement of wages, implementation of revised wages structure and discarding break to the casual labours besides deduction of their CMPF, conduct of DPC and implementation of SRO 33 in favour of project workers whenever the need arises in terms of death in harness of a worker working in the project.
The Minister heard the deputation and assured that their demands would be considered sympathetically at appropriate stage.
Among others who were present in the meeting include Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Mr. S. S. Kapoor, Managing Director JK Minerals, General Manager, JK Minerals and Secretary BCKM Union. |
