| Tributes paid to Hoshiar, Sodhi | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 18 Pradesh Janta Dal (united) held a meeting at party head quarters under the Chairmanship Inder Mohinder Tar Singh, State president (W) in which rich tributes were paid to Hoshiar Singh, leader international democratic party & Ashok Sodhi photo journalist who attained martyrdom when militants from across the border intruded in to Samba. Singh condemned brutal killings by militants and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the aggrieved families and prayed the departed souls may rest in peace in heaven. Further he urged the government to pay minimum of Rs. Ten lacs as compensation to bereaved families and come forward to bear all the expenses to their children. Central government as well as state government should formulate a plan to provide insurance cover to media persons covering encounters as the same selflessly go to any extent to cover the encounters. Any attacks as well as media persons should be compensated to minimum to Rs. Ten lacs in case of loss of life.
