Bari Brahamna-Bishnah link road to be completed by June: Charak

Minister for Higher Education Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak today conducted an extensive tour to Palli Morh, Laswara, Deoli and Makhanpur in Bishnah to inspect ongoing development works which were executed by Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) in the town.
Director ERA Mr. P K Pollay and other senior engineers of ERA and R&B accompanied the Minister.
Addressing the series of public meetings, Mr. Charak asked ERA to complete Bari Brahamna-Bishnah 6.5 kilometer long double lane link road including deep drain and 15 culverts by June this year before onset of rainy season. For this purpose, he said that the government has already sanctioned Rs. 6.3 crore for completion of this project within stipulated time frame. He said that on the completion of this road, the journey from Jammu to Bishnah would be reduced condiderly. He said that the objective of the Azad-led government is to connect all the isolated areas with nearest towns and cities by providing road connectivity. He said that the government is fully aware of the problems of villagers and taking keen interest to provide all basic amenities at par with towns and cities by providing healthcare, drinking water, irrigation, power, educational infrastructure and road connectivity. He directed the engineers to use quality material on development works as the resolve of the government is to create durable assets.
A large number of villagers of Palli Morh, Deoli, Laswara, Makhanpur and Bassi Kalan of Bishnah town met the Minister and projected their problems being faced by them in their respective villages including blacktopping of dilapidated roads, repair and renovation of link roads, installation of poles in left out areas of Bishnah town, desilting of nallahs, commissioning of faulty tube wells and upgradation of existing transformers.
Most of the problems were solved on the spot and remaining would be referred to concerned department for early redressal.
