| KVIB organizes cutting, tailoring, craft training centre | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 18 A cutting tailoring craft training centre under Craft Training Scheme of Khadi & Village Industries Board was organized at village Nachilala Talab in Ramban district where neither any traditional craft-ship nor agriculture potential is there to make the inhabitants prosper and well off. Nearly 25 female trainees have been registered from the adjoining villages for seeking craft training for three months. A stipend of Rs 100 per month shall be given to each trainee to purchase tools kit and raw material like needles, thread, scissors and clothes etc. The training programme was inaugurated by Secretary KVIB, Mr. R.C Sharma. Highlighting the schemes of KVIB, Mr R.C Sharma said that these trainings were organized to upgrade the skill and build the capacity of the prospective beneficiaries so that they can commence their own income generating ventures. He also assured the people for adoption of this village by J&K bank under the scheme of Financial Inclusion of below poverty line (BPL) villages. |
