Gharu inaugurates link road at Tallain

Minister of State for R&B, Ch Gharu Ram Sunday said that the present dispension is paying focused attention to the equitable development of all the regions and sections of state. Concerted efforts are afoot to solve the problems of border migrants and POK and West Pakistan refugees so that fruits of progress are shared by all the sections of people, he maintained.
The Minister was addressing at a public rally after inaugurating a M/R road to H/O Ravi Singh at a cost of Rs 1 lakh from his constituency development fund at village Tallain Suchetgarh constituency. The road has been constructed by Rural Development Department. He said that for the first time the Prime Minister have announced a comprehensive package for rehabilitation of border migrants POK and West refugees. This, he said will address their long pending demands.
Minister announced that an additional amount of Rs. 1.50 lakh have been sanctioned for completing the ongoing works in the village. He said that the road connectivity schemes are being implemented throughout the state under PMGSY, NABARD and NREGA and work is apace under double and triple shift so that infrastructure is laid in the least possible time period. Apart from this repair and renovation of R.S Pura-Chakroi road will be taken up soon, he added.
The minister appealed the people to not get misled by false slogans and dreams shown by other politicians and judge themselves about the massive infrastructural development carried out throughout the state within the span of 5 years of this coalition government. He said that Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad from the first day of assuming charge have given a new vision of khushal amd corruption free Jammu and Kashmir. To achieve his dream of transforming the state into a developed state, Mr Azad personally pleaded for funds from the centre and managed to receive liberal grants for development works. He thanked Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi for generously aiding the schemes for the state due to which infrastructural expansion in the field of road connectivity, electricity, drinking water, health and education was achieved.
The Minister asked the village youth to venture into self-employment schemes for which the government will provide loans and margin money. He informed that they can also organize themselves into cooperative societies for running small scale ventures like poultry units, dairy farming, bee-keeping etc.
Later, Ch Gharu Ram attended the final match of Lt Tarsem Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at village Choga, Suchetgarh. More than 8 teams from border areas participated in the tournament.
Prizes and cricket kit were distributed to the winning team by the Minister who while speaking on the occasion exhorted upon the youth to participate in various sports activities as healthy mind resides in a healthy body.
