| DDC reviews implementation of RD schemes | | | SRINAGAR, AUGUST 30 – To review the implementation of various rural development schemes in Anantnag, the District Development Commissioner Anantnag Mr. G. A. Peer convened a meeting of Block Development Officers here today.
The meeting was told that 11 villages of the district are being developed as model villages and the work on 250 works including common facility centers latrines bathrooms lanes and drains, parks etc is in full swing in all these model villages. To provide employment avenues, 180 income generating units are being set up by the end of current financial year under SGRY in the district. While, 5 Haryali projects have been sanctioned under IWDP for Qazigund, Shangus, Kokernag, Khovrepora and Shahabad blocks. Under Prime Minister’s Sadak Yojana 7 roads have been black topped off which work on 3 would be completed by the end of next month.
The District Development Commissioner stressed upon officers to work with more dedication and complete targets with the stipulated time. |
