| 162 crosses Chakan-da-Bagh | | | Early Times Reporter Poonch | May 19 At least 162 persons from both the sides of Jammu and Kashmir crossed the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch district on Monday to visit their ancestral lands after six decades. Sources in the district administration told that 73 persons crossed over from Indian side to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). These included twenty-five Indian citizens and 48 persons from across the border, who returned to home after visiting their relatives in various parts of the state. Similarly, 89 persons from across the border crossed into this side of border. "Out of eighty-nine persons 59 persons from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) were visiting the state, while rest of them were returning back home", sources added. |
