Vakil hails progressive decisions of CM
Asks Hurryiat to join peace process in larger interest of people

Srinagar, August, 30: Member Legislative Council and Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Abdul Gani Vakil has hailed the decisions taken by Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad during his 10 months in office for taking Jammu and Kashmir into new heights of development and prosperity. He said that the need of the hour is to make progress on the economic front in the state.
Addressing a mammoth public gathering at Manigam, Mr. Vakil said that innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir were always exploited by hollow slogans by various parties for their petty interests . He said that the innovative steps taken by our beloved Chief Minister putting the state on the track of developmental are being highly appreciated by the people of the state. He said “time is nearing when these exploiters would be rejected once for all”. He said by introduction of three shift working system for mega projects would facilitate the early completion of these projects. He said these innovative steps have given a new direction to the developmental scenario in the state.
Mr. Vakil said that the directions given by Chief Minister for taking up projects only after administrative approval is the most appreciable decision to avoid delay in the completion of works for want of funds.. He said these decisions, have started yielding desirable results on the ground besides, making J&K a hub of economic activity.
Referring to the peace process initiated by the centre in the state, Mr. Vakil appealed the Hurriyat and separatists groups to grab the opportunity of centers’ invitation for participating in the 3rd roundtable conference. He said if they really want that peace should prevail in the state it is a golden opportunity for them to present their view point .. He said the world has now changed, and there is no room for any kind of violence. He said Chief Minister is keen to take this peace process to its logical end, as peace is necessary for development of the state.
Hailing the enhancement of honorarium of 23000 SPO from 1500 to 3000, he hoped that Chief Minister soon come up with a comprehensive strategy for solving the unemployment problems in the state.
The others who spoke on the occasion include Minister of state for Rural Development Mr. Babu Singh, MLA Mrs. Khem Lata Wakhloo and Mr. Rafiq Sadiq.
