| Doda migrants threaten to intensify stir | | ‘Implement Apex court directions forthwith’ : Rana | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 20 Threatening to continue its dharna, which entered 146th day today in support of their demand, the Doda Migrants has sought early implementation of the Supreme Court directive of providing relief to the migrants at par with the Kashmiri migrants. Addressing the protestors in the premises of Mubarik Mandi complex here today, Suraj Prakash Rana, President of the Migrant Committee, has expressed his dismay over the delay in implementation of the Apex Court directions. He said though the Divisional Commissioner Jammu had assured the migrants some time back that they would be provided relief at par with the Kashmiri migrants but regretted that nothing has been done to this effect so far. Rana urged the state government to provide relief to these migrants in accordance with the directions of the Supreme Court at the earliest failing which they would be forced to intensify the stir for which the entire responsibility would lie on the state administration. Among others who addressed the protestors were Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Beig, vice chairman, Som Nath, General Secretary, Rakesh Kumar, Publicity secretary and Swami Raj, organizer. |
