| Prof. Srivastav’s demise condoled | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 20 The vice chancellor, teacher, officer and officials of the University of Jammu have condoled the sad and untimely demise of Prof. J. P Srivastav of the Deptt. of Mathematics who left for heavenly abode on May 17 at Lucknow, his hometown. He had joined the University of Jammu on Dec 20, 1984 after teaching Mathematics at Saurashtra University, Rajkot and Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University. He served the University of Jammu for 22 years and was an active academician and researcher. His works were published in national and international journals. For the past several months he had been suffering from an incurable mental disease and he finally succumbed on May 17. He is survived by his wife and son. His death has come as a great shock to the reaching fraternity and the University of Jammu. Beside, he was expert in differential geometry a great person, a press release said. Jammu University Teacher Association condoles the death of the worth JUTA member ad prayed to god to help the family bear the loss, the release added. |
