Veterinary students hold protest rally

Undergraduate students of faculty of veterinary sciences of animal husbandry of SKUAST at R S Pura campus today went for strike against the remarks of minister of animal and sheep husbandry Taj Mohi-ud-Din against veterinary surgeons.
As per a press release, the statement by the minister has shattered the dreams of hundreds of students.
President of Veterinary Students Club (VSC) Irfan Khan, said that students are burning midnight ail to get through the hectic curriculum and such a concerned minister has made the goings much tougher.
He said, there has been no creation of posts since long in the animal and sheep husbandry departments and increase in the intake capacity of two veterinary Colleges of state SKUAST-J and SKUAST-K from the academic year 2003 has only added to the unemployed doctors’ lot.
