| Banyan Tree celebrates ‘Farm day’ | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 20 The Banyan Tree School organized a Farm Day at its premises at Bablian, here today. The first of its kind show in the Jammu school attracted a hefty crowed of about 500 students. The show was an innovative combination of education and entertainment. A landmark beginning of concept based education brought to the city by the Banyan Tree School. The show had live farm animals which were labeled with interesting facts about each of the them. Sudhanshu Pandey IAS Divisional commissioner of Jammu accompanied by his son and wife graced the show with his presence and highly appreciated the novel concept of the show. Janak Raj Gupta political advisor to the Chief Minister blessed the children while interacting with them at the show. It was a delight to see children feeding the animals like ducks rabbits, horses, goats amongst others. This was followed by specially designed art and craft activities for the children who enhanced their imaginative and moral skills. Then the children moved over for an exciting puppet put together by the teachers of the school. After that the school provided refreshments to the children of the guest school as well as all other students. On their way out the children enjoyed the train ride which is a part of the school play area. In the end the principal of the school thanked the participating schools which were Roots, Greenfield, Pearls and Bluebells. |
