Congratulating the candidates of cantonment board who had won the elections from their respective wards, MLA, Raman Bhalla today said that these candidates had contested on their own and had no backing of any political party.
Addressing media persons here today, MLA said, none of the candidates was supported by Congress on any other party, so claim in this regard made by some of the leaders are totally baseless and misguiding. He said as far as rules of cantonment board are considered no political party have the right to campaign in elections of cantonment board and added the claim by the National Conference that all the winning candidates belong to NC is totally baseless. He said it is all due to frustration that NC leader has made such statement and wants to gain chief publicity.
He added rumors being spread that MLA Gandhi Nagar had campaigned for certain candidates was not correct. He said all the candidates who won or lost are like the family members and I request political leaders to restrain from the tactics. |
