| Awareness programme on disaster management held | | | Early Times Reporter

A mass awareness programme and mock drill on disaster management was held in Dogra Higher Secondary School, here by the civil defence.
As per a press release, the awareness programme was conducted in the school premises under the guidance of Manjeet Kour Dy S.Pwho is Dy Controller Civil Defence and Shastri Kohli Dy. Dvl. Warden Civil Defence Jammu and the team of instructors comprising of Ram Chand, Balwant, Shubam, Prem Nath, Dhruv Singh,Girdhari Lal and others.
On the occasion, the chief guest Gambhir Dev Singh Charak in his inaugural speech welcomed the team from Civil Defence organization Jammu to make the students aware of the disaster management and how to tackle the situation in time of appraising the situation in time of distress especially with reference to trouble torn state of J&K. the chief guest apprised the students regarding the necessity of the disaster management and how to tackle the situation specially with reference to the present scenario in the state like the recent happening in town Samba distt. where a terror attack took place recently.
Jugal Mahajan chief Warden Civil Defence Jammu in his brief speech elaborated the students regarding various precautionary measures which should be taken care of and one should not loose the presence of mind. There after various mock drills were made and shown to the students as how to the action should be taken in various circumstances.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Nirmal Koul vice principal of the school, the release added. |
