| Paddar deputation calls on Div Com | | | Early Times Reporter

A deputation of Paddar Development Forum, headed by its chairman, R.S.Chouhan, called on Divisional commissioner Jammu and apprised him of the relief measures taken up and quantum of relief provided to the fire victims. Chouhan told the Divisional commissioner that only Rs.28000 in cash, one set of utensils, few mattresses, one piece of Trapallion, 5 old blankets, one month free ration and 2-3 pieces of assorted clothes per family have been provided till date. Chouhan demanded that there is urgent need to provide more blankets, sleeping bags and six months free ration, warm clothes etc. on war footing.
The Div. commissioner gave a patient hearing and immediately talked to deputy commissioner Kishtwar on phone to provide cash relief to the extent of Rs.10, 000/out of natural calamity relief fund to each affected family of the village ongayee besides looking into their problems on humanitarian grounds. |
