Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 20 The selection penal of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) today announced a 22-member state team for the 62nd edition of National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy starting from May 25 at Bakshi Stadium, here “The final 22-member team was handed over to the Association by the chief coach, Vishwajeet Bhatacharya, who was authorized to name the team, this evening,” general secretary of the JKFA, Bashir Malik told SAN. The team which is comprised of all the three internationals from the state, Arun Malhotra, Mehraj Wadoo and Ishfaq Ahmed will be reviewed before the final registration of the state contingent. “Since there is a provision for registration of 20-member team only, two boys will be dropped before the team is submitted with the technical committee for competition,” he informed. The team: Vikramjeet Singh, Tanvir Ahmed (goal-keepers), Kamaljeet Kumar, Mansoor Ahmed, Imran Rafiq, Billu Khan, Wasim Feroz, Mohit Verma, Majid Dar (all defenders), Shahnaz Iqbal (captain), Adil Qadir, Sheikh Rizwan, Rohit Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Sandeep Sharma (mid-fielders), Bilal Ahmed Wani, Mohd Asif, Zubair Ahmed, Toufiq Ahmed, Ishfaq Ahmed (forwards), Arun Malhotra and Mehraj Wadoo (both defenders).
